Solar teacher for Haiti wanted!

Promote photovoltaics in Haiti by turning Haitian electrical engineering teachers into qualified solar professionals.
Biohaus_Stiftung_Haiti

The Biohaus Foundation has been active in Haiti since the devastating earthquake in 2010, primarily with solar projects. In addition to several smaller PV systems to supply health stations, schools and cooperatives we have set up  the largest and most modern solar system in Haiti at the edge of the capital Port-au-Prince in Tabarre. . This supplies a dozen facilities (schools, hospitals etc.) of our partners npfs Haiti (nos petits frères et soeurs), an international children's aid organization, with electricity. Since 2014 we have set up a training course for solar technology  in their vocational school. Now we are looking for a

teacher (m/f) for solar technology

Solar technology is one of the few sustainable solutions in Haiti for the economic development of the country. Since 2013, a market for solar energy has been developing in Haiti.  But knowledge and skilled  workers for this area are missing.  Npfs is offering dual training courses in nursing, telecommunications, sanitary installation, electrical engineering and car mechanics in its « Centre de Formation Professionelle de Notre Dame de Guadelupe » . Currently, 500 adults between the ages of 20 and 35 are visiting the vocational school, which is run by 50 teachers. Since 2012, there are two-year training programs to become an electrical technician. Since 2014, these have been extended by solar technology. This instructions have been carried out by a German teacher for solar technology and took the first steps towards establishing the solar technology training branch.

These activities are financed and actively accompanied by the Biohaus Foundation for Environment and Justice.
Since 1954, the international children's aid organization “nuestros pequeños hermanos (nph)”  is giving homes to abandoned and orphaned children in Latin America and provides them with education,  medical care and support. The Biohaus Foundation has many years of well-founded experience in solar technology and delivers its networks and experience to the training.
