Disposing of First Solar modules

Your First Solar modules are defective and you want to dispose of them? No problem, we tell you what you need to do to return your modules to the First Solar recycling process.

The following must be considered when disposing of or recycling First Solar modules:

  1. First Solar modules can only be disposed of with the site registration number or the exact site data of the plant.

  2. In addition, First Solar requires the serial numbers of all defective modules, which must be entered in the attached form.

  3. First Solar will then register your order immediately and forward it to a logistics partner for disposal. The logistics partner will contact the contact person indicated on the form and coordinate the collection and disposal of the First Solar modules.

  4. The defective modules must be packed in First Solar cartons or Big Bags for safe transport. If you do not have First Solar cartons or Big Bags, please contact us.
