2.02.2016: Portugal registered 8 MW of new PV capacity in November, according to the latest data from the Portuguese Directorate General for Geology and Energy. The country registered 4 MW of new PV power in the previous month and 47 MW in November 2014. Portugal had 454 MW of cumulative registered PV capacity at the end of November. Not all of this capacity, however, is currently installed or connected to the grid. Of the cumulative PV capacity, 100.7 MW come from microgeneration PV systems (up to 250 kW) and 72.0 MW from mini-generation PV systems (up to 3.68 kW). The newly registered PV capacity for the first 11 months of 2015 is of 36 MW. In the same period of 2014, Portugal registered approximately 95 MW of new PV systems. At the end of November, the country had more than 12.20 GW of registered renewable energy capacity. Most of this capacity, however, comes from wind (5.36 GW) and hydropower (6.02 GW) generation facilities. © PHOTON
