Norway reaches 11.8 MW of grid-connected PV capacity

Norway has reached a cumulative grid-connected PV capacity of 11.8 MW at the end of 2015.
4.02.2016: Norway has reached a cumulative grid-connected PV capacity of 11.8 MW at the end of 2015, according to local newspaper Teknisk Ukeblat citing data from Norway-based consultancy Multiconsult. The company has also reported that an additional 3.2 MW of off-grid PV system was registered in Norway at the end of December. In 2015, the newly installed PV power was 2.45 MW, up 10% from 2.22 MW in the previous year. Of this capacity, 1.5 MW comes from grid-connected PV systems, while 925 kW comes from off-grid installations. Looking forward, Multiconsult said that the first MW-sized PV plant could be installed in Norway this year. Currently, the largest project under development in Norway is a 720 kW installation in Lillesand. © PHOTON
